Twitter is my fav social media app, and I think part of it’s because of the culture. If you’re on Twitter you know what I’m talking about. Sure, there’s plenty of crazies like any other site, but there’s so many hidden niches that I always love discovering. And right now? I’m totally obsessed with the cutest little Twitter bots you ever did see. For those who don’t know: Twitter bots are accounts that are programed to send out automated messages every couple hours. Back in the day I thought the only bots were the annoying ones that send you creepy DMs asking for personal info (#spam). But thank God the world caught up and decided to make something x10000 times better. Take a look at these and let them bless your feed with adorable: 1. little positivity reminders // @tinycarebot Tiny Care Bot is kinda the OG “self care bot” on Twitter (and made by the fabulous Jonny Sun). The account tweets you reminders throughout the day, ranging from water intake to asking you to wiggle your toes. I love the variety of little comments they come up with and how that keeps things feeling fresh. It’s also so nice how the tweets always say “please” and are asking so politely — I’m a sucker for the details, ok?? (*sniffsniff*) 2. pretty pastel mountains // @softlandscapes I’d like to take a moment and thank the wonderful world of technology for using its vast resources and knowledge of humanity…to make pretty pixel mountains for my Twitter feed. Idk how they even do it but the Soft Landscapes account generates gentle pastel landscapes that change size, color, etc every day. Some combos are def better than others (and its fun lol’ing at the strange ones). But finding my “favorites” and giving them a like always feels weirdly satisfying, like I’ve stumbled across my own special watercolor painting. 3. hidden pictures // @tinydotbot Shoutout to anyone who’s taken a random Psych 101 class and inevitably talked about those funky Rorschach tests. This account is pretty much the Twitter version. And even though we all learned that ink blots are pretty much useless when it comes to actual psychology…that doesn’t stop these tweets from being totally addicting??? Some are more “obvious” than others (like the butterfly one up above) but its still fun to have a guessing game with yourself and/or get in a fight with your friend over what…

Behind Twitter (I love you, bae), my second favorite app is YouTube. I watch way more YouTube than TV and I’m happy to pay $10 for YouTube Red each month. …Which is a weird thing to try to explain to people like my dad, who still think YouTube is stuck in 2007 and consists mainly of viral cat videos.  No, YouTube is much more than that. I love checking in with all my favorite stars / personalities / whatever you want to call them and walking in their shoes for a while. Days you’re feeling lonely? Watch someone give you awesome advice. Days you’re feeling adventurous? Watch someone’s vacation vlog give you total inspiration.  While I’ve only got a smallish circle of channels I consistently follow (~15), I’ve lately been trying to branch out more. I snooped around YouTube-related forums and found some awesome recommendations. And even though some of these channels have thousands of subscribers, they’re “new” to me and I’d love to share what I’ve been loving. First at bat: Grace Fit UK. I stumbled across Grace when a forum poster was talking about young vloggers who are a good influence because they don’t just promote YouTube success, but also doing well in school. I guess that makes sense then why my first video I watched of Grace’s was her studying (or “revising,” as the Brits say) for her finals at Oxford. By the end of the video I’d learned a few study tips and got a glimpse of her approachable, laid back personality. I’ve linked the vid above if you’re curious! For the record, school isn’t really Grace’s main focus on the channel — as you could probably tell from her username, Grace is majorly into fitness and body building. But maybe that’s part of what I love about her content so much. Not only is she a relatable, funny college girl, but she also lives a balanced life between working out and studying hard. (And it doesn’t hurt that her booty and legs are total #goals, plz teach me ur ways.) If you’re in a summer slump and need some motivation to go work out, I extra recommend watching some of Grace’s videos! She outlines some great workouts and healthy eating tips. Also, confession time: I’ve literally found myself doing squats by the side of my bed while watching, hahaha (but according to her comments section,…

It might sound weird, but one of the first things I wanted to do after graduation was change up my Insta. I know, I know. Seems mayyyyybe a little superficial. But I took it as a way to show how I was finally entering a new stage of my life…that would hopefully involve less grainy frat basement pics. I’ve always been a huge fan of Insta themes anyway. But with my new goal in mind I’ve been combing through new feeds more than ever. Work on my own page is still in the brainstorm stages, but I thought I’d share a few of the awesome finds I’ve stumbled across in the meantime: @hannah.rankin I first found Hannah while looking through tags of Seattle-area photographers, and I’ve honestly been in love ever since! A lot of PNW Instas go for the moody, overcast colors, but Hannah’s feed is so bright and colorful that it instantly makes me happy. She always knows how to find such interesting angles too. Each day is like a little Candyland paradise. @forever_september Lucy is a British blogger who also has an amazing Insta. Her clean, calm colors are always on point and I love seeing her travel pics from across Europe. She’s only 18 but obviously has a ton of talent (and a camera I’ve very jealous of)! I also know its not easy to stick to such a strict white theme, so props to her for being able to keep it up. @vroseplans Victoria is a chemistry student who has the most beautiful, colorful notes on the planet. I follow a lot of studyblrs over on Tumblr, but there’s something special about all the happy colors on Victoria’s Insta. Looking at all her sticker sheets and organized planners always makes me want to get my own life together! Each post is another little dose of motivation. @hannahdtrick Honestly, if I could steal anyone’s feed, Hannah’s would probably be the first on my list. She’s a blogger from Nashville that always has the most calm, perfect tones in every photo. Since white and light blue are my favorite theme colors, her feed is like everything in one package! It’s also nice seeing someone my age putting out the kind of content I’m aiming for. Gotta just keep working at it! @nutritionstripped McKel’s Insta definitely isn’t a secret, since I think right now she’s over 200k followers.…
